How to find your newborn photographer
Where should I start? There are so many of them! Who is professional? How I can find the right one?
If you ever had these questions in your mind and would love to have a little help how to start looking for you photographer, then the following points will help you to find your newborn photographer and make the right decision.
1. Start with your preferred style...would you like lifestyle photos (natural, within family in motion) or staged (usually baby in a basket, on a bean bag/table were professional photo props are used), would you like bright, rich colors or more neutrals and whites.
2. Decide - would you like to go to a studio or prefer to do a photoshoot in the comfort of your home. As not all mothers are willing to go with their newborns outdoors, some moms need a bit more time for afterbirth recovery and they are finding it challenging to get themselves and a baby ready for studio shoot. So it's the best to make a decision that comforts you as a mom and your baby. Happy mama - happy baby!
3. Next step is to start to do research. Look on the internet for newborn photographers near you, look at their websites and social media...whether it would be a photographer with a studio or a mobile photographer who comes to you. Look at their work, trust your intuition. Sometimes you just feel that ‘it is what you are looking for’. And after make a shortlist of 3-4 of your favorites.
4. Get to know your photographer. You will trust the most precious person in your life to a person who will capture these special moment for you. We all have biography on our websites and we do social media too so you are more than welcome to get to know us better. That’s way during the shoot you'll have the feeling that you already know us a long time and it will help you to feel more relaxed and comfortable.
5. Pay attention to details and don't be shy to ask questions. There are many points that you can pay attention to, so please read carefully through everything. I prepared a list for you with the most common things /points that preferably to pay attention to.
6. And in the end I would like to say do not hesitate...it is special moment in your life and your baby will grow and change very quickly so make sure you have this moment which you will cherish forever, captured by a professional.
